We are honoured to announce that Danelia's Old Wine House has been awarded the special prize of the Department of Tourism of Adjara — "Magnolia 2025" — in recognition of its outstanding contribution to tourism in the region.
A living museum recognised
Founded in 1907 in the historic heart of Batumi, our shop-museum operates as a living museum preserving a century-long history. It exclusively safeguards museum exhibits and the first Georgian signature labels from the 1907–1921 period, while welcoming every visitor with a complimentary tasting of modern Danelia's Wine.
"Our wine is our history, and our history is our honor."
Part of a wider recognition
This award follows growing international attention for the Danelia family story, which has been featured in leading publications including Agence France-Presse, L'EXPRESS, The Sun and The Japan Times. In 2019, the family's traditional honeycomb winemaking technology was granted the status of a Monument of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Georgia.
We thank the Department of Tourism of Adjara for this recognition, and our visitors from Georgia and around the world for being part of our continuing story.
